This medication can be taken with or without food and should be taken at the same time every day. It is crucial to continue taking it, even if you feel fine. Stopping the medication could increase your risk of having a heart attack or stroke.

Common side effect of this medication includes dizziness, bleeding, bruising, stomach upset. Bleeding in the form of bruising, nose bleeds, blood in urine or stools (black-colored stools), or heavier periods than usual in women. If you cut or injure yourself, the bleeding may take longer than usual to stop. Typically, these bleeding episodes are mild and will resolve on their own.
