ALFLORA CAPSULE contains Racecadotril which belongs to the group of medicines called Antidiarrheals. It is indicated in the management of acute diarrhoea (sudden onset of three or more loose stools per day, lasting less than 14 days). Symptoms associated with diarrhoea includes abdominal cramps and pain, nausea, vomiting and severely it may cause blood or pus in the stool.

ALFLORA CAPSULE should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease, impaired liver function, suffering from chronic diarrhoea or diarrhoea caused by antibiotics, suffering from prolonged or uncontrolled vomiting, intolerant to lactose, blood or pus in the stools and fever.

ALFLORA CAPSULE is not recommended for use in pregnant and breast-feeding women. This medicine is not suitable for use in children and adolescents, other forms of this medicine are used in children and adolescents. Consult your child’s doctor for advice.

The most common side effect of taking ALFLORA CAPSULE is headache. Consult your doctor if the side effect worsens or if you experience any unusual effects.
